Flights within package holidays
Passengers travelling within the framework of a tour or a package
holiday purchased within the European Union must receive, from
the organizer, precise information about the journey. The passenger
also benefits from clear rights concerning the execution of
the contract.
The brochure made available to the consumer must indicate in
particular, in a clear and precise manner, the destination,
the itinerary and the modes of transport to be used. The organizer
is bound to the information given in the brochure. Before departure,
the organizer must advise the consumer in writing of the times,
the stops and the connections.
The consumer has the right to yield the reservation he or she
has made for a package to a third party.
The price stipulated in the contract cannot be revised unless
the conditions in the contract provide for this precise eventuality.
The organizer is responsible for any breach in the stipulations
of the contract. Therefore, in the case of a problem concerning
the air transport element of a tour or package holiday, the
passenger must in principle contact the organizer directly.
The latter will act in the name of the passenger.
