Le deuxième aéroport de France pensera toujours à vous en premier
Institute of Aeronautical
Training (IFAERO)
A training institute at the heart
of the foremost concentration in aeronautics:
the Airports of the Côte d'Azur
Before IFAERO, no aeronautical training was available
in the whole of the South East of France. But in September
2000, the new school opened offering a chain of aeronautical
training courses. Created by the Chamber of Commerce
and Industry in partnership with the Education Authority
in response to existing needs, notably linked to the
application of European norms and standards (JAR), it
offers initial professional training for students and
ongoing professional training for airport employees,
airline desk staff and airport assistants employed at
the airports in Nice and Cannes-Mandelieu.
On 12 January 2001, the Nice Côte d'Azur
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Nice
Education Board finalised the creation of the
"Institut de Formation Aéronautique"
(IFAERO)
IFAERO meets its clients' needs by positioning itself
at the heart of an aeronautical environment peopled
with professionals: the Nice Côte d'Azur and Cannes-Mandelieu
Airports:
- it reconstitutes a production force that meets international
standards,
- it identifies the employment market's needs in terms
of skills - and then supplies staff qualified in those
skills,
- it offers training that respects the regulations,
standards and procedures that have developed in air
transport.
It has first-rate infrastructures at its disposal and
provides its clients with instructors from the professional
aeronautical world (Airport Managers, Airlines, Airport
Assistants, DGCA, etc.) who can make presentations both
in English and in French.
