Nice Côte d'Azur Airport has been selectively sorting its waste
since 1999.
Common industrial waste: cardboard, old papers (office papers,
newspapers, magazines and flyers).
Special industrial waste: in compliance with legal demands,
a complete programme to selectively collect specific industrial
waste has been organised at the airport. Oils, neon, electric
and electronic waste, etc. are stocked and collected separately
then entered into the appropriate environment-friendly processing
channel.
Garden refuse is also separated from other waste and recycled.
Part of the waste generated by activities at the airport, in
particular the cleaning of aircraft, are incinerated with recuperation
of energy.
