What are Nice Côte d'Azur Airport's opening hours?

-The airport is open to air traffic 24/7. However, only 2% of flights take off or land between 11pm and 6am. A decree forbids engine tests between 9pm and 6am and reverse thrust 24/7 (except for safety reasons).

How are the runways used?

South runway:
- equipped with a full axial Instrument Landing System
- reserved for take-offs during the day
- landings and takeoffs during the night
North runway:
- equipped with a full axial Instrument Landing System
- used for landings
- closed at night


What help is available with soundproofing?

-If you live within a Noise Pollution Zone (PGS in French), the Agency for Environment and Energy Management (ADEME in French) provides information on financial aid for soundproofing work for residents in accommodation located near the airport.

Where can I get information about environmental issues at the airport?

- A help desk has been created with precisely that in mind. The "Espace Riverain" - or Residents' Corner - is located on the first floor of Terminal 1. It is open from Monday to Friday, or by appointment on 04.93.21.59.05.

What trajectories do aircraft take in Nice?

-For take-off, the least intrusive procedure involves flying out over the sea (to the right from 04 and to the left from 22) once the aircraft has reached an altitude of 300 feet (approximately 1,000 metres), then gaining height before heading back over the coast at a minimum of 600 feet (approximately 2,000 metres).
