CONSULTATION

Consultation has to be as spontaneous a process as possible. However, when an airport is involved, certain formalities imposed by law must also be respected. This is why the Consultative Commission on the Environment (CCE) and its Permanent Committee (CP) were founded. Decree no. 2000-127 dated 16th February 2000 modifying decree no. 87-341 dated 21st May 1987 relating to the Consultative Commission on the Environment of airfields.

The Commission and Committee each meet twice a year.

These institutions, governed by regional administrative acts [arrêtés préfectoraux], are made up of members belonging to three joint groups:

            - 3 Groups of 11 members for the CCE
            - 3 Groups of 6 members for the CP

The above meetings are imposed by law. In addition, themed working groups carry out projects on subjects such as noise, air quality, energy, etc.
Targeted information meetings are organised either on specific themes (such as north-easterly take-offs, for example), or for specific residential zones (i.e. Nice, the hinterland, etc.).
